Nike

It's always fun to see new innovative designs from Nike. They asked Swanson Studios to shoot their new collection of track shoes. This was a super quick turn time, since they needed to be shipped off to athletes the next day. Thanks to the talents of photographer Tyler Ashlock and stylist Sharon Inahara, the task was completed beautifully!

Sean Reynolds

As I have mentioned before Sean Reynolds is an amazing photographer, and a delight to work with.

For these test shots we discussed shooting a track runner, but wanted to get more into the pre-event ritual. What do athletes do before the big event. Our runner needs a moment of calm before jumping to get the blood flowing.

Finlandia

Finlandia is a great client to work with, and a long time client of Swanson Studios.

You might think this is a simple shot to achieve, but there is more behind the scenes action than you can imagine. Marcus did a wonderful job meticulously lighting the bottle, directing stylist on the tangerine personality, and the delicate image retouch.

All together the simple beauty of this product shot shines through.

Swanson Studios

Working with the team over at Swanson Studios is always an adventure.  In the following images I worked with Sean Reynolds to create some dynamic underwater photographs with kayaker Ross Henry.  Sean is one of the most talented photographers I have worked with here in Portland, and he always brings a creative eye to his projects.

InFocus

Always a ruckus time shooting with Keith Gerr and Patt Mosely from InFocus. Their brand was in need of imagery for all media channels, so we shot their entire product line with a new lighting standard that brought them to life. Then we did beautiful shots of key product styles for all advertising needs. The last part of this ongoing project was to build a database of lifestyle images that they would be able to use for years to come. After seeing hundreds of potential models, we cast 85 and set out to shoot various scenarios in studio for a week. It was a huge undertaking, took patience to keep all the talent organized, and on track. My favorite shot was taken when our crew flew down to San Diego and set up shop on top of a beautiful building for a night of watching hockey.

Outdoor Retailer

Going to OR is such a wonderful experience. It is not only filled with the best outdoor products, but it is also filled with some of the best, and my favorite, people on earth. I love going and supporting the companies that I have worked with, but it is also a great place to meet new clients and friends. Each year I make a small promo book of images to share. This is just one of the books that I designed.

lucy

For this project I hired photographer Lance Koudele to shoot with the talented team at lucy for their fall campaign. Shot on location in Portland Oregon, it was a beautiful day filled with fun on the mountaintop.
